The St. Ignace area offers plenty of lodging, from simple motels to full-service resorts. If you’re looking for an inexpensive choice, America’s Best Value Inns (1074 N. State St., 906/643-7777, www.americasbestvalueinnstignace.com, $59–76 d) offers basic rooms at a good value.
For something a little fancier, stay at the 
Kewadin Casino (3015 Mackinac Trail, 800/539-2346, www.kewadin.com), which offers an 81-room hotel, an indoor pool, a fitness center, and a game room. Unfortunately, pets aren’t allowed.
When you’re craving a bite to eat, consider the Kewadin’s two dining options: the Horseshoe Bay Restaurant and the White Tail Bar & Grill. You can also stop by the Mackinac Grille (251 S. State St., 906/643-7482, 10:30 a.m.–midnight daily, $8–16), where you can sample everything from ribs to burritos.
