Film entertainers have also made their mark in Michigan. Jeff Daniels may be a Hollywood type, but the Georgia native prefers to live in tiny Chelsea, a village west of Ann Arbor, where the actor-director founded the acclaimed Purple Rose Theatre (named after the Woody Allen film in which he starred).
