I found surprisingly few helpful, fun, or even well-designed 2012-specific websites during my research. A few forums appeared to have been started with good intentions but were taken over by survivalists comparing guns and bunker designs.
Here are some important portal-type sites to begin your studies. Consult the country travel planners on www.moon.com, as well as my 2012 Travel Blog.

- www.alignment2012.com
- The website of John Major Jenkins, an independent researcher devoted to reconstructing ancient Mayan cosmology and philosophy.
- www.diagnosis2012.co.uk
- This comprehensive database (aka “Dire Gnosis”) on all things 2012 is kept by author Geoff Stray, who continually updates it with new videos, articles, and 2012 news.

Maya Calendar
- www.mayan-calendar.com
- Created by archaeologist Dr. Edwin Barnhart, this site is an accurate date converter and home to the Maya Calendar smartphone app, which can convert Long Count dates and birthdays without an Internet connection (perfect for when you’re at a remote Maya site, making a groundbreaking discovery).
- www.maya-portal.net
- The Mayan Calendar Portal is a vast source of Maya calendar information, offering a tzolk’in birthday calculator app, daily energy readings, webinars, Meet the Artist/Author events, and blogs by various personalities working in the Maya world, including elder Don Rigoberto Itzep Chanchavac.

- The Foundation for the Advancement of Mesoamerican Studies is an excellent resource for news on Mundo Maya discoveries and ongoing research.

- This “exploration of Mesoamerican cultures” is a fantastic portal to the world of Maya studies, maintained by some of the top archaeologists and experts in the field.
