Who knew banks could be exciting? At the Money Museum you can explore the history of money, the process of currency making, and even design your own money using museum-provided templates.
View the Harry S. Truman coin collection and the cash vault, or test your strength by trying to lift a 400-troy-ounce gold bar cast at the San Francisco Mint in 1959. Today the bar’s value is an estimated $400,000. A nearby screen calculates the bar’s daily value based on the market price of gold.
Museum guests over 18 must bring a photo ID. Hour-long guided tours are available for groups by reservation.
