Mention Garozzo’s to a Kansas Citian and be prepared to hear a five-minute sermon on the restaurant’s signature chicken spiedini. Sure, the traditional family-owned Italian restaurant offers a menu of pasta favorites like eggplant and chicken parmesan and lasagna, but to try anything other than the speidini on your first visit is criminal.
Head to Garozzo’s for dinner on your birthday and show your ID to receive a free speidini entrée. The service is top-notch at Garozzo’s, with attentive servers that circulate often enough to make you feel important, yet not so much that you’re annoyed by their presence.
