Once the home of the Black Musicians’ Protective Union Local 627 AF of M., the Mutual Musicians Foundation remains an integral part of Kansas City’s jazz history and the site of late-night jam sessions that attract local, regional, and national performers into the foundation’s intimate setting.
Photos and other jazz memorabilia line the walls of the historic club, designated a National Historic Landmark and the site of special events like the Bird Lives Festival in honor of Kansas City jazz legend Charlie “Yardbird” Parker.
