Since 1973, Worlds of Fun has delivered high-octane entertainment with an array of state-of-the-art roller coasters, thrill rides, and the family-friendly Camp Snoopy play area complete with miniaturized versions of some of the park’s most popular rides.
In 2009, Worlds of Fun debuted the Prowler, a 3,074-foot wooden roller coaster that’s valued at $8 million and reaches top speeds of 51 mph. For one of the best views of the greater Kansas City area, brave the Mamba, one of the highest roller coasters in the world. Some of the park’s older, more classic rides include Autobahn, a bumper car arena, and Le TaxiTour, guest-operated antique taxi replicas.
A variety of walk-up or dine-in restaurants satisfy any craving, from hamburgers and buffalo wings to funnel cakes and Dippin’ Dots.
And if you find yourself in Kansas City during weekends in September and October, head to Worlds of Fun’s Halloween Haunt. Family-friendly ghouls and goblins roam the park during the day, while at night more gruesome creatures prowl the grounds as visitors enjoy late-season rides.
