Although the monthly First Fridays gallery crawl has propelled the Crossroads Arts District into the go-to arts destination in Kansas City, the annual Crossroads Music Fest is shining an increasingly bright spotlight on the city’s local music scene.
Musicians such as the Barclay Martin Ensemble and Bacon Shoe meet dance and visual arts groups like Quixotic in an all-day performance spectacular that begins with several Friday-night pre-parties.
Purchase festival passes prior to the event or the day of the show to avoid venue-specific cover charges.
Several Crossroads-area bars host performances, including The Brick (www.thebrickkcmo.com), Crosstown Station, and Czar Bar.
