Visit Kansas City at the right time and your itinerary will be enhanced by a number of festivals and outdoor events. St. Patrick’s Day and Irish Fest bring out teeming masses of green-clad celebrants, while Rhythm and Ribs honors two of the city’s greatest pastimes: barbecue and jazz. Other must-see festivals include a tribute to the Bard, a sophisticated art fair (and another founded as a satire of the first), and a tribute to 16th-century England.
