There is an abundance of places to stay in Siguatepeque, starting with Hotel Zari (tel. 504/773-0015, US$9 s, US$14 d), just off the southwest corner of the park, with reasonably clean and well-equipped rooms (cable TV, private bath, fans). Some of the hotel’s 53 rooms are in a second building across the street.
Hotel Gómez (tel. 504/773-0868) has two types of rooms set around the parking lot—the older ones have a fan (US$9 s, US$16 d), while those in the new wing have air-conditioning and are modern and spacious (US$21 s, US$27.50 d), with wireless Internet connection. Some English is spoken.
Hotel Plaza San Pablo (tel. 504/773-0700/4020, www.hotelplazasanpablo.com, US$23.50–26 s, US$36 d), on the plaza, is popular with business travelers. Its 37 modern rooms have all the amenities, including air-conditioning, TV, telephone, and private bathroom. The massive triple suite goes for US$63. The staff is pleasant, and the hotel has Internet service and a fine rooftop terrace. They can arrange a taxi service for about US$1 to the highway.
Another relatively upscale hotel (for Siguatepeque) is Hotel Puesta del Sol (tel. 504/773-3179, US$16 s, US$26 d with fan, US$24 s, US$32 d with a/c), located a block and a half south of the plaza. The 46 rooms are rather small, but colorful and tidy. Suites are available for US$53–63, and Internet for US$0.50/hour. The hotel can also book massages.
