There are two water parks just outside of San Pedro Sula: Wonderland (tel. 504/559-9700, 11 a.m.–5 p.m. Fri., 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Sat.–Sun) is the bigger and better of the two, located on the segundo anillo, or outer ring road, opposite the Estadio Olímpico. Zizima is just off the highway to the airport and La Lima.
The brand-new Speed Racer Park (tel. 504/547-4081, noon–9 p.m. Mon.–Thurs., 10 a.m.–10 p.m. Fri.–Sun.), with go-karts, a skating rink, and mini-golf is conveniently located next door.
Mi Pequeño Sula is a children’s museum that is slowly being developed, located next to the Municipal Gymnasium, on the highway to the bus terminal and Tegucigalpa. The planetarium has been completed, and there is a show Fridays at 4 p.m.
