Panza Verde (5a Avenida Sur #19, tel. 7832-2925, www.panzaverde.com) is a gallery housed inside its namesake restaurant/hotel; a new exhibit usually opens every second Wednesday of the month.

La Antigua Galería de Arte (4a Calle Oriente #15, tel. 7832-2124, www.artintheamericas.com) exhibits the work of numerous local and international artists in a large building surrounding a pleasant courtyard.

El Carmen Galería de Arte (3a Avenida Norte #11D, tel. 7832-5620, www.elcarmengaleriablogspot.com) is small but features the fine work of local and international artists in its pleasant space.

Galería de Arte GO (4a Calle Oriente and 1a Avenida Norte, tel. 7832-0618, 9 a.m.–7 p.m. Mon.–Sat., 10 a.m.–2:30 p.m. Sun.) also showcases a good mix of local and international artists’ work.

For antique furniture and architectural accents, a good bet is Ritual (7a Calle Poniente #30 and 5a Avenida Norte #18, tel. 7832-4767).

A modern twist on traditional and tropical furniture can be found at Mezzanine Home (4a Calle Oriente #30, tel. 4472-4242, www.mezzaninehome.com).

Differenza (5a Avenida Sur #24C, tel. 7832-1851, pierre [at] conexion [dot] com [dot] gt, 9 a.m.–6 p.m. Mon.–Sat.) features the work of French sculptor and designer Pierre Turlin. Among the unique finds are raku sculptures and bowls, blown-glass stemware and decanters, and wooden furniture. The store also carries extraordinary handcrafted jewelry from two other Antigua resident artists.

Casa Chicob (1ra Avenida Norte #21, tel. 7832-6723, www.casachicob.com) features a wonderful assortment of Guatemalan-inspired home decor.
