You can get your burger cooked in 50 different ways at Lindburgers (330 S. 9th St., 239/262-1127, 11 a.m.–9 p.m. Mon.–Sat., main courses from $5), a fact that is endlessly trumpeted throughout this great downtown restaurant. In addition to artery-challenging Midwestern interpretations (bacon and chili burger, anyone?), there are some uniquely Neapolitan options, such as the Fifth Avenue Burger (sour cream, chives, and caviar) and the King Burger (crab legs and Béarnaise sauce). They also have an array of other sandwiches and even steaks, but with so many ways to truly get a burger prepared “your way,” why bother?

I-75 connects Naples to the Midwestern United States and cuts right through the heart of Ohio, bringing a large number of visitors from that area. So it’s no surprise that when the Cincinnati institution known as Skyline Chili (710 N. 9th St., 239/649-5665, 11 a.m.–7:30 p.m. Mon.–Sat., 11 a.m.–3:30 p.m. Sun., main courses from $5) was looking to expand beyond the Buckeye State, they chose to open an outlet in Naples. Sure, you can get a wrap or a salad, but what would be the point when the rich steaming chili that Skyline is known for can be delivered atop a hot dog or even as part of a spaghetti dish?
