Built in the early 19th century, the Heritage House Museum & Robert Frost Cottage (410 Caroline St., 305/296-3573, 10 a.m.–4 p.m. daily, free) is an authentic example of the Caribbean colonial architectural style and was also a frequent winter home of the poet Robert Frost.
Less a collection of exhibits than a standing example of life on the island in the 1800s, the museum is furnished and decorated in period style, and a beautiful tropical garden in the back is a great place to rest and listen to recordings of Frost reading his poetry.
