There are limited fine dining options in Estes Park, but Cascades Restaurant (333 Wonderview Ave., 970/586-3371, www.stanleyhotel.com, Sun.–Thurs. 7 a.m.– 9 p.m., Fri.–Sat. 7 a.m.–10 p.m., $21–38) at the Stanley Hotel has a nice wine and beer list to accompany their Colorado game specials. Outside seating is especially pleasant in the summer.
The Dunraven Inn (2470 State Hwy. 66, 970/586-6409, www.dunraveninn.com, Sun.–Thurs. 5–9 p.m., Fri.–Sat. 5–10 p.m., $8–39) has hearty Italian food, steaks, seafood, and a children’s menu.
The Sweet Basilico Café (430 Prospect Village Rd., 970/586-3899, www.sweetbasilico.com, Mon.–Fri. 11 a.m.–10 p.m., Sat.–Sun. 11:30 a.m.–10 p.m., $10–18) serves yummy pizza and Italian dishes.
For a caffeine and Internet fix (free Wi-Fi), stop in at the Notchtop Bakery and Café (459 E. Wonderview Ave., 970/586-0272, summer Mon.–Sat. 7 a.m.–9 p.m., Sun. 7 a.m.–2 p.m., fall–spring hours vary, $6–9), which also serves breakfast and lunch.
