The Dairy Center for the Arts
Trip Ideas
It took decades to secure funding to turn the old Watts-Hardy Dairy into a cultural facility, but once the transformation was complete in 1992 it became an instant success. The Dairy Center (2590 Walnut St., 303/440-7826, www.thedairy.org) is home to three art galleries, two theaters, a performance space, and classrooms for ballet.
The place is humming with creative energy as all art forms are practiced or displayed here throughout the year. Many of the events at the Dairy are free.
