The Kirkland Museum is one of Denver’s cultural gems. This space began as artist Vance Kirkland’s studio, and it has been preserved as if the man himself might reenter and hang from his special harness to begin another dot painting. After his death, the museum was established and took over the fried chicken building next door to open in 2002.

In 2003, the collection of over 3,000 examples of Arts and Crafts, art nouveau, pop art, art deco, and more could be seen on the 1st and basement floors of museum. In addition to the modernist decorative works that date from 1880 to 1980, Mr. Kirkland’s impressive body of work and rotating exhibits of Colorado artists are on display.
