COST: $35–68, plus state-park pass fee

Horse rides are available by the hour at Chatfield State Park for all ages and levels of expertise. Reservations are required and there is a two-horse minimum. There are also classes, lessons, and horse boarding available at Chatfield Stables.

Because the entire Chatfield Park area is popular for just about every kind of outdoor activity you can think of, there is a designated equestrian loop with only a few overlaps with bike and foot trails.
