One of the largest Cinco de Mayo celebrations in the United States is held in Denver every spring in a two-day event. It’s a chance to eat Mexican food and enjoy Mexican music while learning more about the culture.

The organized festival takes place at Civic Center Park, but the Highlands neighborhood, where there is a significant Latin American population, is also a hot spot for the weekend of or near May 5 every year. This often translates to streets clogged with cruisers waving Mexican and American flags.
