Baseball

Havana has two teams: the Industriales (colloquially called “Los Azules,” or “The Blues”), considered the best team in the National League, and the Metropolitanos (known as “Los Metros”). Both teams play at the 60,000-seat Estadio Latinoamericano (Consejero Aranjo y Pedro Pérez, Cerro, tel. 07/870-6526), the main baseball stadium. Games are played November–May, Tuesday–Thursday and Saturday at 8 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m. (CUC3). Tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis, although a few seats are reserved for foreigners.

For further information, contact the Federación Cubana de Béisbol (tel. 07/879-7980).
