From Puerto Williams, a coastal road runs 54 kilometers west to the village of Puerto Navarino, now a legal port of entry, and 28 kilometers east to Caleta Eugenia; two kilometers east of Williams, Villa Ukika is the last Yámana outpost. From Caleta Eugenia, the road is gradually advancing southeast to Puerto Toro, where some 60 boats employ about four persons each in search of centolla (king crab).
