The first Reid’s Fine Foods location opened in 1928 (the current location opened in 1998) and it has become the gourmet deli of choice for Charlotte foodies in search of sandwiches, salads, wines, and pastries. Hot items are served, too.
Get homemade dishes like meatloaf and fried chicken from the hot bar or take advantage of the bevy of fresh soups and salads made daily. You can order foods to go or grab a seat in the small café and watch as the LYNX light rail passes by the deli windows.
Prices are a little high here, but it’s worth it for the fresh cuts of deli meats and the sommeliers who can recommend the best in local and international wines.
