Move over Hollywood, Mooresville has its own walk of fame. The North Carolina Auto Racing Walk of Fame was unveiled in 2009 and each granite marker pays tribute to a member of the North Carolina Auto Racing Hall of Fame. There are 13 markers on the walk to date, and a new one will be added each year.
Richard Petty was the first inductee into the Hall of Fame in 1997 and has a place of honor in the first spot on the walk.
