The North Carolina Auto Racing Hall of Fame doubles as the Mooresville visitors center. It’s often the first stop for race fans who want a free race shop guide and map, but the museum itself is worth a look. It contains 35 racecars, including several cars that were in NASCAR races as well as drag racers and stock cars.
A film with some of the greatest moments in racing plays on a loop in the Goodyear Mini Theater, which is just a small screen behind a curtain at the back of the museum. The museum is a bit disorganized but there are some interesting cars on exhibit.
