There is no major-league baseball team in North Carolina, but the minor-league action is top-notch. The Kannapolis Intimidators are the single-A farm team for the Chicago White Sox and part of the Class-A South Atlantic League (SAL), which has been operating for 105 years.
The team plays 140 games between April and September; half of them are played at Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium in Kannapolis. The 4,700-seat stadium was built in 1995 and has a host of options for fans from reservation-only luxury suites to general-admission bleacher seating.
