Short for “North of Gaston Street,” the NOGS Tour of Hidden Gardens (912/961-4805, www.gcofsavnogstour.org, $30) is available two days in April and focuses on Savannah’s amazing selection of private gardens selected for excellence of design, historical interest, and beauty.
Everyone loves the annual free Sidewalk Arts Festival (912/525-5865, www.scad.edu) presented by the Savannah College of Art and Design in Forsyth Park. Contestants claim a rectangular section of sidewalk on which to display their chalk art talent. There’s a non-contest section with chalk provided.
