Internet and Telephone
Trip Ideas
A smattering of Internet and telephone places have popped up around the centro, which has helped to reduce the once-exorbitant prices. A couple of reliable and air-conditioned shops include: IslaMujeres.com (Madero 17, 8 a.m.–10 p.m. daily, US$1.50/hr.) and Ciberco Lichos (Av. Abasolo, between Av. Hidalgo and Av. Juárez, 10 a.m.–11 p.m. daily, US$1.50/hr.).
For telephone calls, DígaMe (Av. Guerrero between Avs. Matamoros and Abasolo, 8 a.m.–10 p.m. Tue.–Sun.) had the best rates on the island at the time of research: US$0.27 per minute to the United States and Canada, US$0.37–65 per minute to Europe and Israel.
