KenZen Sushi Bar and Exotic Cuisine (315 N. Mt. Shasta Blvd., 530/926-2345, Tues.–Sat. 5–9:30 p.m., $8–20) can hook you up with some decent sushi and other Asian cuisine. Granted, if you’ve been eating in the Bay Area or Wine Country, the “exotic” items won’t seem terribly uncommon to you.
The menu features a pleasant array of Asian-themed soups and salads, a few steaks and grilled fish dishes, and a long (if fairly standard) sushi list. On the walls of this casual-elegant eatery you’ll find the work of a number of local artists.
