The wine industry is growing by leaps and bounds in and all around Paso. The Paso Robles region now boasts more than 200 wineries, over 100 of which have tasting rooms open to the public.
For the purposes of this guide, the sprawled landscape is divided into four easily navigable parts:
- Highway 46 West
- Highway 46 East (which does not directly connect to Hwy. 46 West)
- Downtown Paso Robles
- Remote—the area to the north of town on several roads branching away from U.S.101.
In addition to the individual wineries, Paso hosts two large wine festivals each year.
