Warwick Lanes (47 Middle Rd., Warwick, tel. 441/236-5290) is the island’s only bowling alley and always attracts a crowd, including club members and local teams, as well as novices and corporate groups enjoying a cheap night out, especially during the winter. It’s a favorite for children’s birthday parties, too. The air-conditioned facility is owned and operated by the Bermuda Bowling Club, which hosts the Professional Bowlers’ Tour every February.
It has 24 lanes, all computerized to take the work out of scoring. A bar and restaurant, serving hamburgers, sandwiches, soups, and salads, are also on-site. Winter hours (Sept. 1–Apr. 30) are 4 p.m.–midnight Monday–Friday, 9:30 a.m.–midnight Saturday, and 2 p.m.–midnight Sunday. Summer hours (May 1–Aug. 31) are 6–11 p.m. Monday–Saturday and 2–11 p.m. Sunday. Fees are reasonable: $4 a game, children $2.75, shoe rental $1.50.
