Runners, walkers, cyclists, and inline skaters turn out for Zoom Around the Sound, a 7.2-mile circular course around Harrington Sound via Harrington Sound Road and North Shore Road. Held in March to raise money for the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum & Zoo, the race starts and finishes at BAMZ. The entry fee is $10, and late entry is $15. Refreshments are served, and T-shirts and goody bags go to all participants. For information, call tel. 441/293-2727 ext. 130, or email volunteers.bzs [at] gov [dot] bm.
Open (free admission) days, kids’ storytime (11:15 a.m. Fri.), yoga classes, lectures, and themed events are held regularly at Bermuda Aquarium, Museum & Zoo (40 North Shore Rd., Flatts, tel. 441/293-2727, www.bamz.org).
