Communications and Media
Bermudians, isolated 670 miles from the nearest landfall (Cape Hatteras, North Carolina) take their communications very seriously. Thanks to a well-developed infrastructure, albeit threatened by seasonal hurricanes, the island provides modern telephone, fax, Internet, wireless, and wireless-roaming services. The mail service is mostly efficient, there’s no shortage of couriers, and the island is bombarded with up-to-the-minute media—print, digital, and broadcast.
