Horizons (33 South Shore Rd., tel. 441/236-0048, www.horizonscottages.com) has a nine-hole “mashie” golf course—a Scottish word for a golf club, of which a 7-iron is recommended. For pure fun, a bit of practice, and spectacular ocean-view scenery from every hole, a round here makes for a great afternoon (the longest shot is 122 yards). There are no carts, and reservations are required for tee times. The greens fee is $20 per person weekdays, $25 on weekends; club rentals are $2.50, balls $1.
