This is one of the longest established restaurants in Shanghai, a longevity that is rare in such a fickle city. M on the Bund mixes beautiful, subtly colorful interior design with a menu of quality international food.

The restaurant takes up the 7th floor of the former Nissin Shipping building and has appeared in the Miele Guide to the top 20 restaurants in Asia. Make sure you book in advance to secure a table, especially on weekends.

Request to be seated close to the window, as the view out over the Bund to the Huangpu River and skyline beyond is one of the restaurant’s major draws. The Glamour Bar downstairs is operated by the same management and is equally attractive.
