Central by name, but slightly less so by nature, this youth hostel is one of the most spacious and comfortable in town. It’s located about 15 minutes by taxi from People’s Square and is a 5-minute walk from a well-connected Metro station.
The gaudy blue and yellow building sits among high-rise apartment blocks and is well signposted from the street. It contains two big blocks of private rooms and dorms with a big common room and bar in between.
The hostel’s motto is “Champagne lifestyle, lemonade budget,” so the emphasis is on creating a comfortable environment without the heavy price tag. Buffet breakfast is included in all room fees. The hostel arranges trips to nearby water towns and offers bikes to rent.
