The Opposite House Hotel, Sanlitun Village
11 Sanlitun Beilu
10/6417-6688

HOURS: Daily 5 p.m.-1 a.m.

METRO: Dongsishitiao (Line 2)

The Opposite House Hotel in Sanlitun Village is something of a byword for boutique chic, and its on-site bar (one of six food/drink venues) does not fall short. Mesh is great for chatting and chilling over a decent wine or cocktail; its atmosphere is classy and relaxed.

Mesh drapes hang from the ceiling, and the interior decor is all clean lines and low leather seats. The music is muted electronica, more conducive to conversation than to dancing. The cocktail list is one of the most thoughtful and best executed in town.

If you feel like staying on after Mesh closes at 1 a.m., head downstairs to Punk where the party carries on late into the night.
