Definitely worth checking out, Tuk-Su-Ra is a casual bar in what looks like an abandoned colonial-era house. The old house has neither windows nor shutters, nor much paint either, and is filled with funky flea-market furniture.
Depending on the time of day and the crowd, you’ll either feel like you stepped onto the set of a horror movie or a fashion photo shoot. The proprietors generally play alternative Western music to a crowd of hip, laid-back young Thais.
Big beers are only 95 baht and the place is easy to get to. From Khao San Road, make a right onto Tanao Road, cross the big road by Democracy Monument, and go another 150 meters. You’ll see the bar through an archway on the right.
