Getting the name out of the way first: This store is not associated with the famed Seattle grunge band. What they are associated with is a very broad selection of CDs and a decent vinyl selection, covering both the big hits of the day, but also more obscure rock, hip-hop, and country artists.
There’s a big used CD collection, which can be full of dreck but also contain some hidden gems. The DVD wall has a lot of really fantastic finds, from TV boxed sets to strange foreign films to anime and horror. There are a few listening stations to try before you buy, and the in-store music selection is usually right on.
