Jimmy’s Restaurant $
801 S. Broadway, 410/327-3273
HOURS: Daily 5 a.m.–9 p.m.
COST: Most entrées less than $10
Though you couldn’t tell from the exterior, Jimmy’s is a diner, serving breakfast all day and hot, gravy-laden dinners into the evening. Want a beer with breakfast? Not a problem here, though the waitress might eyeball you a little. This is a social hub for lifetime Fell’s Pointers, as well as politicians, news anchors, tugboat crews, Hopkins medical staffers—you name it.
The room is always alive with buzz, conversations, and action, whether it’s romance or heated political debate. The food is genuine diner cuisine served up freshly made and at a bargain price; if you want to eat like a real local, ask for gravy on your French fries.
