Keep your eyes peeled for the turn into the Pier 5 driveway from Pratt Street—there’s a large sign, but the appearance that you’ll be driving on a sidewalk can be tough to override. Part of this independent, modern boutique hotel’s charm is that it’s off the main thoroughfares and tucked down on the water, surrounded by waterfront walkways.
The 66 guestrooms are heavy on purples and golds; the modern, swooping furniture takes some chances without being too risky. There’s a Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse on premises, but you can also walk to dozens of other restaurants at the harbor and in Little Italy, which is just a few blocks east.
