Misión Nuestra Señora de Loreto Conchó: Jesuit Padre Salvatierra founded the “mother of all California missions” in 1697, and visitors can tour the restored church on Loreto’s town plaza.

Loreto Malecón: Take a stroll along Loreto’s waterfront promenade to see the sunrise, catch a breeze, or enjoy a seafood lunch with spectacular views.

Parque Marítimo Nacional Bahía de Loreto: Mexico’s largest marine preserve covers 2,000 square kilometers of the Sea of Cortez, including five major islands that are accessible from the town of Loreto.

San Javier: One of the easiest side trips into Baja’s mountainous interior is the winding road to San Javier, a former mission settlement with a beautifully restored church.
