Groceries
Most visitors buy supplies for their Cabo San Lucas stay at Soriana (Mex. 19/Carr. Todos Santos and Calle Guajitos, tel. 624/105-1290, www.soriana.com), a Walmart-esque superstore, or at Costco on the Corridor.
But there are some smaller options right in town that carry brands from Mexico and the United States. They include Almacenes Grupo Castro (southwest corner of Morelos and Revolución, tel. 624/143-0566), Supermercado Sánliz (three locations: Blvd. Marina at Madero, Ocampo at Matamoros, and Vicario at López Mateos), and Supermercado Arámburo (Arámburo Plaza, Lázaro Cárdenas at Zaragoza, tel. 624/143-1450).
There is also a CCC (Centro Comercial California, tel. 624/146-7200) on the east side of Mexico 19, just north of the junction with Mexico 1 and before the Soriana. On the east side of town, warehouse-style City Club (Blvd. Lázaro Cárdenas at Paseo del Pescador, tel. 624/143-9492, www.soriana.com) has groceries, produce, and baked goods.
Pescadería El Dorado (5 de Febrero btw Abasolo/Ocampo, tel. 624/143-2820) is a good bet for fresh fish and shellfish. You can buy fresh tortillas at Tortillería Perla (Morelos btw Hidalgo/Matamoros, tel. 624/143-1381).
Next to the entrance to the Pedregal community, La Baguette (Blvd. Lázaro Cárdenas, tel. 624/142-1125, 8:30 A.M.–7:30 P.M. Mon.–Sat.) specializes in pastries, bagels, and breads from Europe and the United States. For a sweet tooth, the Swiss Pastry (Hidalgo at Lázaro Cárdenas, across from the plaza, tel. 624/143-3494, 7 A.M.–4 P.M. Mon.–Sat.) has homemade chocolates and candies as well as a variety of pastries.
For fresh fruits and vegetables, head over to Frutería Lizarraga (Matamoros at Av. de la Juventud, tel. 624/143-1215). And for organic produce and imported wines, try Tutto Bene! (Blvd. Marina, opposite the Wyndham Cabo San Lucas Resort, tel. 624/144-3300, 9:30 A.M.–9 P.M. daily).
