The Resurrection Pass Trail crosses the Sterling Highway just west of Cooper Landing, and is accessible from a trailhead at Mile 53. Several short hikes take off from the Skilak Lake Loop Road, including Bear Mountain Trail, with panoramic views across Skilak Lake, and an easy hike along Engineer Lake. More challenging is the three-mile Fuller Lakes Trail. It takes off from a parking area at Mile 57 and climbs sharply to a pair of small lakes filled with small Dolly Varden (bring your pole).
