ABOUT THE AUTHOR THOMAS HUHTI

Thomas Huhti is a born-and-bred Cheesehead. With wanderlust a hallmark of his family tree, he developed a serious case of anywhere-but-here at a young age. Time in China during university ultimately led to a five-year stint traveling the globe and living out of a backpack. A fortuitous meeting with a travel scribe on a Chinese mountain opened his eyes to the possibilities of combining travel and writing as a career. The vagabond life continued, only this time with a purpose–to see everything.

At a certain point, homesickness hit him like a hammer. Half a decade wandering the world had made him long for his birthplace. Ultimately, he discovered he bled Badger red and understood where "home" was.

He vowed then to no longer take for granted what had shaped him. Thus began a pilgrimage around the state researching Moon Wisconsin, a labor of love and gift to his parents, worthy Badgers both.

And now he finds it a lifelong, happy commitment: Rolling down country roads with co-pilot and significant other, Yuki, and bigheaded yellow lab Bobo fighting over the shotgun seat, a tent drying in the trunk, and the Brewers on the radio.
