ABOUT THE AUTHOR MARTIN CHEEK

Martin Cheek lives in Morgan Hill, California, "the Mushroom Capital of the World," which is in the South Valley region of Silicon Valley. His love of writing and knowledge of Silicon Valley first came together at San Jose State University, where he worked for various Silicon Valley-based publications while earning a bachelor's degree in newspaper journalism.
After college, Martin reported for the Los Gatos Weekly-Times. He also worked as a reporter for the high-tech news service Edittech International and served as that company's European Bureau Chief in London for more than two years. He was managing editor of the now-defunct Triumph Magazine, a Silicon Valley lifestyle publication.
When he's not writing, Martin enjoys hiking, biking, weight-lifting, fishing, swimming, good conversations, and cooking dinner for friends.
