For Laura, the perfect evening is a salty summer night down the Shore, with Springsteen on the sound system and a slice of Mack & Manco’s in hand.
Laura drove over 2,800 miles through the state while researching this book, venturing onto the “unknown” streets of North Jersey, sampling restaurants, and exploring state parks after 5 p.m., when the summertime fee is waived.
Laura’s work has appeared in a variety of publications, including Sunset, Her Sports, International Railway Traveler, and Budget Travel. She took her first international trip to Scandinavia at age 16 and has since continued to explore, bungee jumping in New Zealand, trekking in Thailand, braving the Australian Outback, working a summer at Glacier National Park, and traversing the United States by train numerous times.
