ABOUT THE AUTHOR TIM BEWER

Tim Bewer has lived most of his life in Minnesota and Wisconsin and although he has traveled to 42 states and even more countries, he still considers the Upper Midwest to be the most beautiful place on earth. Though he was born next door in the land of cheese, his Minnesota roots run deep. After immigrating to the United States from Wales at the start of the 20th century, his great grandfather moved into a Minneapolis boarding house where he eventually married the Norwegian owner’s daughter. They later ended up on a Wisconsin farm.

Tim gave up a career as a legislative assistant to become a writer and photographer focusing on his first love—travel. He has written, updated, and edited books on Wisconsin, New York, Ecuador, and El Salvador, and his work has appeared in newspapers and magazines in the United States, Canada, and Great Britain. Someday, if he can ever find the time, he will finish his novel.

Tim spends most of his free time hiking, canoeing, or searching for the perfect burrito. He currently resides in Minneapolis; however, his itchy feet take him up north or overseas as often as possible.
