ABOUT THE AUTHOR NIKKI GOTH ITOI

Nikki Goth Itoi brings both an insider’s perspective and a traveler’s sense of discovery to Moon Hudson River Valley. She grew up making maple syrup in the Catskills and got married in the village of Rhinebeck. These days, she visits the region to enjoy warm summer evenings, fall foliage, and new restaurants while she reconnects with her large extended family.

A writer and editor with experience in print, radio, and online media, Nikki has been published in the San Francisco Chronicle, Red Herring magazine, IndustryWeek, Business 2.0, Hemispheres, and other publications. She is the author of Moon Cabo and Moon Baja, and a contributing editor to Gemütlichkeit: The Travel Letter for Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the New Europe. A native of New York State, Nikki has traveled Mexico, Europe, Asia, and the United States for work and fun.

When not on the road, Nikki enjoys outdoor activities in the San Francisco Bay Area, including bay swims, bike rides, and backcountry skiing. She and her husband, Paul, live in San Francisco.
