Marilyn A. Moore has been camping in both tents and RVs since her teens. She is the author of Moon Florida RV Camping, and is widely considered to be the expert source on RV and tent camping in Florida. While researching these books, she and her children, TJ and Andrea, crisscrossed the state numerous times, wearing out the axle on their Scamp trailer and the transmission on two different towing vehicles.
Marilyn is also an avid bicyclist who has circumnavigated Lake Okeechobee atop the levee and ridden hundreds of miles on trails and gravel roads in the Big Cypress Preserve and the Everglades.

A former newspaper reporter and editor, Marilyn works at Miami-based Latin Trade, the leading publication for international executives doing business in Latin America. She is fluent in Spanish, having grown up in Mexico City, and speaks just enough French, Portuguese, and German to get by. When she retires from her day job, she plans to become a campground host and full-time camper.
