Longtime Minnesotan Tim Bewer brings years of traveling experience to the table in Moon Minnesota. Bewer spotlights a great list of travel strategies, such as Best of Minnesota, A Long Weekend in the Twin Cities, and Wacky Minnesota. Bewer covers the Twin Cities' thriving nightlife, including places like Whiskey Junction and Fitzgerald Theater—as well as the recaptured Victorian allure found in Duluth's historic B&Bs. Moon Minnesota gives travelers the tools they need to create a more personal and memorable experience, whether it's exploring the old European charm of St. Paul or enjoying the sophistication of Minneapolis.

About the Author

Tim Bewer

Though he was born next door in the land of cheese, Tim Bewer's Minnesota roots run deep. After immigrating to the United States from Wales at the start of the 20th century, his great-grandfather moved into a Minneapolis boarding house—and he eventually married the Norwegian owner's daughter before ending up on a Wisconsin farm. Tim has lived most of his life in Minnesota and Wisconsin and even after having traveled to 46 states—and an even greater number of countries—he still considers the Upper Midwest to be the most beautiful place on earth.

Tim gave up a career as a legislative assistant to become a writer and photographer. Since then, he has covered topics ranging from autism to punk rock, but he primarily focuses on his first love: travel. He has written or co-written a dozen guidebooks covering places such as Sudan, Sierra Leone, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, Mexico, Ecuador, and Thailand, and his articles have appeared in newspapers and magazines in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Some samples of his written and visual work can be seen at www.timbewer.com. Someday, if he can ever find the time, he will finish his novel.

Tim currently lives in Khon Kaen, Thailand—but he still considers Minneapolis home.
